Mungru

Nocturnal Excavators of the Caves

Homeland: mountains

Language: Edhu

Mungru are reclusive cave-dwelling bats as large as human children. Although they can fly, they only emerge in the dead of night, which contributes to their featuring in horror stories told by neighboring races. Sometimes Mungru can be observed roosting upside-down beneath rocky overhangs, earning them the nickname "cliffhangers." These giant bats communicate through a language of sonar unintelligible to non-Mungru; as they display little interest in interacting with other races, their culture remains a mystery to the outside world.
