Kelvimars

Proud Architects of the Ocean

Homeland: Aracor Ocean

Languages: Kelvimarian, Common

Unlike the instinctual sea serpents or the lawless Tentakull, Kelvimars inhabit a structured underwater kingdom of many noble cities. Kelvimars resemble human-sized seahorses with arms and possess ridged skin colored red, orange, or yellow. They dress in seaweed kilts, with the soldiers wearing coral armor and the wealthy displaying jewelry of gold and pearls. Deepmagical sorcerers are prized in Kelvimarian society and tend to be the richest citizens in the kingdom, as they charge exorbitant fees for their magical services and are constantly plied with treasure. However, the skill for which Kelvimars are best known is not their Deepmagic, but their amazing architectural abilities. Being sedentary by nature, Kelvimars lavish their energy on constructing magnificent cities from sea stone, coral, and pearlescent plating. Such opulence occasionally tempts sea serpent and Tentakull raiders, but the Kelvimars' strong walls and harpoon defenses repel most assaults. Safe in their grand cities, the Kelvimars pride themselves in their power and stand haughtily above the rest of the ocean.
