Leviathans

Reclusive Devourers of the Depths

Homeland: Sea of Shadows, Rabesh Sea, oceans beyond Aracor

Languages: none

Leviathans are a family of colossal marine predators that inhabit the deep seas beyond the Aracor Ocean. Although they include a wide range of species, ranging from elephantine crabs to gargantuan sharks, all leviathans share the qualities of immense size, insatiable appetite, and ferocious aggression. What these terrifying predators lack in intelligence, they make up for with sheer strength. Since they are accustomed to hunting helpless prey, leviathans can be scared away with Deepmagical displays. Because they prowl every ocean except for Aracor, naval travel is perilous beyond measure; as a result, few land-dwellers dare to travel by ship.
