Leviathans are a family of colossal marine predators that inhabit the seas beyond the Aracor Ocean. While they include a wide range of species from elephantine crabs to gargantuan sharks, all leviathans share three main qualities: immense size, insatiable appetites, and ceaseless aggression. What leviathans lack in intelligence, they make up for with sheer strength. Because leviathans prowl every ocean except for Aracor, naval travel is perilous beyond measure. As a result, few land-dwellers now dare to travel or trade by sea.
